School of Tomorrow (SOT) Parent Reviews

The Philippine Christian School of Tomorrow – Home Education Program (formerly known as Living Heritage Academy) is a full service home school academy that utilizes the SCHOOL OF TOMORROW® SYSTEM of education.

Donna Donor, a homeschooling mom to Kid, has been with School of Tomorrow for 8 years. She finds it convenient that she can make transactions online like sending an email to their academic adviser for questions. She also pays the school fees through their bank account. Although their materials can be sent via couriers, she said that she still make an effort to go once or twice a year. “When I go to school, I always bring my son with me so that he knows that he has a school, to know the people in school. For me, it helps in developing my child’s sense of belongingness,” Donna shares.

SOT provides opportunities to their students interact with fellow homeschoolers, like during the annual Christmas gathering and banquet. Parents are required to attend the SOT yearly conference to develop teaching and parenting skills. Homeschoolers are encouraged to join in student conventions. Donna says, while she do not really long for ‘support groups or co-ops, she’s glad to come across fellow SOT homeschoolers once in a while. Donna blogs her mommy adventures at Everyday Adventures by Mommy Donna and Kib.

Josephine Genesis C. Parlade homeschools her daughter Yadah Charizze. With her 7 years in SOT, she says that the thing she loves most about being connected with them is the reminder that there’s hope of a bright future ahead. “Life isn’t all about financial freedom. Yes we prepare our kids for a better future, but without the guidance of and close relationship to the Lord, all is in vain. With SOT, loving and prioritizing God is #1. Character building follows then academics,” she says.

Her daughter says, SOT is accommodating and they’re just a call away to assist students in problems with PACE’s. Josephine hopes that SOT will form support groups for each city, would have additional fellowship and camping (survival courses).

Lynden T. Tablante‘s homeschool journey began in June 2009. Their eldest started in a Christian school using an ACE curriculum so when they decided to homeschool, School of Tomorrow (formerly Living Heritage Academy) was naturally the first choice as they were sold-out in ACE’s Bible-based curriculum and system.

She says that, “SOT so far does not interfere much in our homeschool journey so we enjoy some degree of flexibility as we pursue holistic education and explore otherblearning opportinites or modes fit for our children.” She hopes that SOT will have more satellite offices (provincial areas), establish a coop system among homeshool families, will have programs designed exclusively for homeschoolers, regularly updated PACE materials, and help connect homeschooled students to learning through internships, workshops, apprenticeships. “SOT’s student and educators conventions are comprised of both school annd homeschool representatives. It would be a lot different if the participants are homeschoolers – to make the discussions/ programs more relevant ang meaningful in our homeschool journey,” she explains.
