I encourage Gab to ask questions and it can be tough sometimes. But I like these questions since it shows interest and critical thinking. Sometimes, I have the answer and many times I don’t. Below are some of these questions.
1. What does RNA stand for?
I was surprised that this was not included in the book. RNA stands for Ribonucleic Acid while DNA stands for Deoxyribonucleic Acid. Learn more about the differences between a DNA and RNA.
2. Do bacteria and viruses have cells?
Bacteria have a cell structure while viruses doesn’t have a cell structure or acellular. Diffen.com have a more detailed list of the difference between bacteria and viruses.
3. Why is cell theory still a theory?
Another good question. I am not sure myself. But based on what I read, cell theory is widely accepted and observed. However, it keeps on getting revised and updated with new discoveries. Thus, it remains as a theory. But it doesn’t mean that theories are inferior to laws. Both are important forms for scientific knowledge.
