Early Education Machine Toy Review

The Early Education Machine is a digital handheld toy that tests for arithmetic operations. It is an educational toy that tests for skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and number comparison. It has audio feedback and rechargeable via USB connection. It only costs 139 pesos at online stores.

TOP FEATURES

Portable Arithmetic Test – The toy has test for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. It also has number recognition and number comparison. It is a good device to practice and master arithmetic.

Handheld – It looks like a calculator or a mobile phone. It is easy to carry even for small hands.

Rechargeable – No batteries needed. There is a built-in battery that you can charge using a USB cable. The cable is included in the box.

Audio Feedback – Every correct answer gets a nice audio encouragement. If you make a mistake, it will save the question for you to try again at the end of the question set.

Timed Mode – For an extra challenge, the top bottom at the side sets the timer to either 5 seconds or 10 seconds. When activated, you need to give the correct answer within the given period. The 10-second time is doable, but 5 seconds for 2-digit operations is tough.

CONS

Fixed at 50 questions – All tests are up to 50 questions. There is no setting to change the number of questions. You can just quit in the middle instead but you wont get the final score.

No option for specific arithmetic facts – The Early Education Machine will test for all operations from numbers 1 to 9. Thus, the user must be familiar with all numbers. A beginner who has only mastered adding by 1 will get questions for adding by 9 already. This makes it ideal for students Grades 4 and above who have mastered all addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills.

REVIEW SUMMARY

Overall, the Early Education Machine is a cheap and effective tool for review and practice of arithmetic knowledge. However, it is not ideal for beginners since there is no option to select a specific skill. It will ask for all digit operations from 1 to 9.
