Parts of a Flower Worksheet

I can’t believe they are teaching the Parts of a Flower to kinder students. I remember learning them at a much older age. This is the first science lesson we have for Kinder 2 in the K-12 program.  This Parts of a Flower Worksheet is designed as a review material after Gab has mastered the main parts from other learning activities.

Quennie and I had to review them before teaching them to Gab.  I was able to recall some terms but I have mostly forgotten this lesson already.

The cross section of the flower is an idealized version of a flower. Most flower doesn’t follow this structure.

Daddy Tip:  The gumamela flower or hibiscus is often used as a real life example to learn the parts of a flower.  Try to find one and show it to your child.  However, the stamen and the pistil are quite tricky to locate since it doesn’t look exactly like the cross section above.

You can watch the video below with your child to learn and identify the parts of a flower.
