The Little Shop of Monsters Book Review

In the book The Little Shop of Monsters, Goosebumps author R.L. Stine creates a book about monsters for kids who doesn’t love monsters.

The Little Shop of Monsters is a funny children’s book about wacky monsters. I grew up having adults telling me stories about horrible monsters that scares me until I pee. But today, monsters seems to have been domesticated and turned kid-friendly. I can’t use monsters on Gab to get things done at home. 😀

The Little Shop of Monsters is about these kind of monsters. It is tells about two kids who went inside a shop full of monsters. The monsters vary from scary to funny, yucky to cutie. The monsters are described as to why they are monsters. There’s a monster that sneezes on you, sleeps under your bed and so much more. Will you bring one home?

It is an instant favorite with Gab. He finds it very funny and keeps on retelling the story to us. After reading the book, there has been a lot of monster jokes and monster names in the house.

If I pull his legs during rough play, Gab calls me a Puller Monster.
If I shake his bed or chair, he calls me an Earthquaker Monster.
If I jump around the living room, he calls me a Jumper Monster.

The Little Shop of Monster is really a fun book to read for kids. They will surely appreciate the humor in each page. I love the twist in the ending too. It’s a book you and your child will not get tired of reading again and again.
